Yoga

Description
We offer 2 different types of yoga:
Monday and Friday yoga:
Rooted in the authentic tradition of Viniyoga (the lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar), this class is an invitation to reconnect body and mind. Through a progressive approach, you will explore a practice that respects each person’s individual pace.
Each session includes:
- Postures (Asanas): a precise sequence that alternates between phases of activation (to create space and open the body) and phases of deep relaxation. This harmonious alternation helps vital energy (Prana) flow.
- Breath Control (Pranayama): a gradual synchronization of movement and breath to turn inward, focus the mind, and strengthen your connection to your bodily sensations.
- Self-respect (Ahimsa): Nonviolence is at the heart of the practice. It is not up to the individual to adapt to yoga, but rather for yoga to adapt to each person.
Who is it for?
- No prerequisites are required for the 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. sessions. Variations (simplifications or intensifications) are offered so that everyone can safely explore their own physical limits.
- Please note: The Monday 7:30 p.m. class is intended for experienced practitioners who have already mastered the basics of yoga (at least one year of regular practice).
Practical Information:
- Regular attendance is recommended to fully experience the benefits of the practice.
- For your comfort, it is recommended that you practice on an empty stomach (avoid eating right before class).
Wednesday lunchtime yoga :
This yoga class is inspired by Hatha Yoga, following the method and teaching of Frans Moors, a pupil of the Indian master T.K.V. Desikachar.
The approach of Hatha-Yoga is to first learn to control the body, in order to learn to control the mind.
We could define Hatha-Yoga as a set of exercises that seek to achieve full awareness through the mastery of the cops by performing various physical postures and learning to control the breath.
The synchronization of conscious breathing and body movements not only enhances the performance and effectiveness of the exercises, but also helps us to better manage our emotions and stress.
Hatha yoga does not focus on the cult of the body; on the contrary, it harmonizes it so that we can forget about it and concentrate on the mental and spiritual.
The benefits of Hatha Yoga :
- Strengthen and tone muscles
- Improve concentration
- Improve stress management
- Increase self-confidence
- Improve overall health
- Improve the immune system
- Improve flexibility
- Relax and center the mind
- Replenish energy
