Handball
A team sport developed in Denmark and Germany in the 1920s, handball - literally, die Hand (the hand) and der Ball (the ball), in German - combines fast play, contact, dynamism and explosiveness.
Activity temporarily suspended until the start of the 2026 academic year.
Due to construction work and the unavailability of handball halls, regular handball training and the ASEUS university championship teams are temporarily suspended. The section will resume as soon as conditions allow, in time for the start of the 2026 academic year.
Description
We offer two types of activities:
- Training sessions with instructors
- Participation in university championships for ULiège students
Played by teams of seven players indoors, handball is based on attacks and placed defenses. Vision of the game, shifts, movements without ball and commitment are the key words of the sport with 7 players.
Handball is 6 players, playing both in attack and in defense, with responsibilities corresponding to a specific position (shooters, passers, blockers, etc.), but nevertheless versatile, as well as a goalkeeper, all this on a field and goals identical to those of indoor soccer. The goal? To pass the ball to each other by hand, and score in the opponent's goal by crossing the defense.
A sport where contact is allowed and regulated, handball requires a frank dose of camaraderie and team spirit. Sometimes rough, the game is never aggressive. On the contrary, it is based on respect for teammates and opponents.
In short, handball gathers the characteristics and the assets of a multitude of team sports. It allows you to work on your endurance, your muscular capacity, your skill and your suspension. But above all, it is friendly and deserves to be known.
So, whether you are a beginner, an experienced player, a girl or a boy, come and join us in the handball section!

Activities
- Mixed introductory and advancedtraining sessions
- Participation in the university championships for ladies or gents for players of confirmed level (only accessible to ULiège students). To join these teams, contact the instructors and register via the MonClub application, selecting the "Handball (university teams)" package displayed at 0€.

Registration and payment
- After creating your profile in the MonClub application , choose the "Handball" sports package. For this discipline (without additional membership fee), even if you have already paid your membership fee via the formula of another discipline, it is mandatory to choose the "Handball" formula displayed at €0.
NB: for participation in university championships (reserved for ULiège students) please also register in the"Handball - university teams" formuladisplayed at €0. - Proceed to payment from the application.
You can add a complementary package at any time via the application.
NB: Membership membership formulas include the price of ULiège sports membership and an additional fee where applicable. If you choose several sports formulas, you will only payone ULiège sports membership fee (the membership fee will be automatically deducted at the time of payment).
