Insurance 

Insurance is mandatory and covers all sports. To be covered, you must be registered with ULiège Sports for the current academic year and have paid your membership fee for that academic year.

For university students, the University’s insurance policy covers sports upon payment of the ULiège Sports membership fee for the current academic year.
For all other categories of members, the insurance premium is included in the annual membership fee.

Members are insured only for activities organized under the auspices of ULiège Sports and supervised by one or more individuals recognized by ULiège Sports (instructor, assistant instructor, guide, etc.).

Note: Personal Injury coverage is provided to individuals participating in a trial session at the Sports Fair, for example. However, they will not be covered under Civil Liability insurance, as they are not affiliated with ULiège Sports. They must therefore be covered individually by their own Family Civil Liability insurance.

Public liability insurance :

• bodily injury: €12,500,000.00 per claim
• property damage: €1,250,000.00 per claim

Personal accident insurance :

• reimbursement, after intervention by the mutual benefit societies, of treatment costs included in the INAMI tariff nomenclature, up to the amount of the tariff in question
• medical services not included in the INAMI tariff nomenclature, up to a maximum of €600.00
• dental prostheses: €600.00 per tooth, up to a maximum of €2,400.00 per victim
• orthodontic prostheses up to €800.00
• damage to glasses and contact lenses:

  - frames: €280.00
• funeral expenses up to actual cost
• in the event of death: €50,000.00 per victim
• in the event of permanent disability: €120,000.00 per victim

In the event of an accident

1. Request an accident declaration form from your section instructor or delegate, or from our secretariat
2. Complete and sign the accident declaration form yourself
3. Have the declaration signed by one of the persons in charge of the sporting activity (instructor or delegate)
4. Return the completed form and medical certificate to the secretary's office. We will then declare the accident to Ethias Assurance
5. Invoices for hospitalization, medication or other expenses should be sent to your mutual insurance company. They will be reimbursed first by your mutual insurance company and then by the insurance company (on presentation of what the mutual insurance company has already paid you)
