Taekwondo
Taekwondo, or "The Way of the Foot and the Fist", is a Korean martial art practiced with bare hands and consisting largely of blocking, dodging and attacking techniques of the upper and lower limbs.
Description
All facets of Taekwondo are covered: physical (re)conditioning, specific muscle work, stretching, basic traditional techniques, kicking and fighting techniques, forms, etc.
For those who wish, the section offers access to the higher techniques of taekwondo, which prepare for the grade examinations organized 2 or 3 times a year.
Training courses with other instructors/masters are also regularly organized (an ABFT license may be required to take part in some of these courses).
Open to students aged 15 and over.
Accessible mainly to beginners. Contact the instructors if you already have a Taekwondo grade before registering.
Founded in 1973, our school is the oldest in Wallonia.
In this era of absolute reign of Japanese martial arts, Taekwondo distinguished itself by its effective jumping kicks and spectacular breaking techniques. It was once known as "flying karate". More known to this day in its "sporting" form, Taekwondo remains an age-old traditional "martial art".
There are, depending on the school, two methods of teaching. One is sporty and competition oriented, the other is traditional. We mainly perpetuate the latter way.
The members who wish to present the exams of passage of rank will be affiliated with the French-speaking Association of Taekwondo (ABFT), federation recognized by the world federation (WT).

- Monday from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: Gymnasium 2 (G2)
- Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Gymnasium 2 (G2) — EXCEPT IN JANUARY (no class)

- Traditional outfit (dobok with white collar) compulsory after 2 trial lessons

1.Registration required (One annual membership fee only, regardless of the number of sports you participate in)
- ULiège students: €45
- Students from other universities, higher education institutions, and elementary and secondary schools: €50
- ULiège staff (and spouses): €65
- Staff at CHU-CHR Citadelle, ADEPS, and Eurogentec: €65
- ULiège alumni: €70
- Others (not listed above): €75
2. Additional "martial arts" annual subscription (access to all martial arts except fencing) :
- Students (ULiège and other students): 40€
- Other categories: €65

Registration and payment
- Once you've created your profile on the MonClub application, choose the "Taekwondo" sports package
NB: Membership packages include the ULiège sports membership fee and an additional contribution where applicable. If you choose several sports formulas (including several martial arts - except fencing), you will only pay one ULiège sports membership and one "martial arts" subscription (the amount to be paid will be automatically adapted). - Proceed to payment from the application. NB: if you have already paid the "martial arts" subscription, the amount displayed will be 0 €. Please complete the procedure and "validate" the payment.
You can add a complementary package at any time via the application.
