Sailing
Who hasn't dreamed of stepping onto a boat and letting the wind and waves carry them along? Now this dream can come true, safely and happily!
Please note: minimum age 16 for activities on the Meuse and 18 for overnight courses.
Description
Sailing is an all-round sport, a highly diversified discipline that is little-known to the general public. We invite you to discover its various aspects in a relaxed atmosphere.
Are you a beginner? No problem, we'll teach you the basics so you can quickly and safely enjoy the freedom and pleasure of cruising at sea, sailing a dinghy, etc.
In a recurring way:
- In dinghies: Initiation and improvement on an essentially practical basis.
Theoretical notions, essential for continuing to develop in this technical sport, will be explained as situations arise.
- For live-aboard sailing, the possibility of participating in cruises at sea on a live-aboard sailboat and outside charter
More specifically for 2024 and 2025
- Four dinghy weekends in Zeeland, Netherlands (September, November, March, May).
- One-week summer sports cruise
- Weekend cabin cruises in Zeeland, Netherlands (April)
- Other weekends or outings as requested in Zeeland and the North Sea.
Location & schedule
Every Saturday throughout the year (including school vacations)
- Winter schedule: 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m
- Summer opening hours: 2pm to 6pm
- Except when weather conditions don't permit, or on weekends when activities abroad are scheduled (Zeeland, Corsica, Balearic Islands, etc.)
Access : streetcar T1 - Coronmeuse stop

Information
- Salon des sports on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Campus Universitaire, Amphithéâtres de l'Europe, Quartier Agora, Boulevard de Colonster 13, Bâtiment B4, parking A): information on all sports, section stands, registration, ..
- Open Day on Saturday 04.10.25 from 2pm at Ile Monsin. Please note: only those who have paid their ULiège sports membership fees will be allowed to sail.
Equipment
Personal equipment :
- Sneakers or boots
- Old warm clothes, waterproof raincoat or K-way
- Towel
- Neoprene or waterproof wetsuit if necessary for cold weather
Equipment provided by the section:
- Life jackets, harnesses and trapeze belts
- 420, 470, Laser and Laser vago dinghies
- A safety boat
Cost
2. Additional annual subscription * :
- Students (ULiège and other students): €85
- Other categories: 125€
3. Courses :
- Approximately 70€/day for summer campsites
- Approx. 95€/day for winter courses in a bungalow
4. One-week cruises
- Depending on sailing and destination: between 600€ and 800€
Please note: for minors, parental authorization to be completed by parents via the MonClub application
*An additional €30 is required to join the French-speaking Belgian Yachting Federation (FFYB)
Registration and payment
- Once you've created your profile on the MonClub application, choose the "Sailing" sports package.
NB: Membership packages include the ULiège sports membership fee and an additional contribution, if applicable. If you choose more than one sports package, you will pay onlyone ULiège sports membership fee (the membership fee will be automatically deducted at the time of payment). - Proceed to payment from the application.
You can add a complementary package at any time via the application.
