Description
We offer courses for beginners (2 sessions per year) and advanced divers alike. But also dives every weekend and courses abroad during school vacations!
Scuba diving is accessible under certain conditions:
- Be over 18 years old
- Be able to swim 200m
- Before registering, have your doctor fill out the Certificat d'absence de contre-indication (CACI) for scuba diving
- Bring your own equipment for the 1st course : fins, mask, snorkel, belt and ballast
- Please note the full cost of registration and equipment (see below)
Estimated costs for scuba diving :
The practice of scuba diving requires personal and specific equipment, which can be costly
- Small pool equipment required for pool courses: €150 (fins, mask, snorkel, belt and ballast)
- For outings in the quarry, the section rents some of the necessary equipment: €2.5 per dive, including 1 tank, 1 stabilizing vest and 2 regulators
- The rest of the equipment (wetsuit, etc.) can be rented from specialist stores for around twenty euros per weekend. Ask our instructors for more information

From 01.10.25 to 17.06.26 - except vacations
- Wednesdays from 7pm to 10pm
Beginners: meet at 7pm at CRU - Information evening: Wednesday 24.09.25 at 8pm at CRU
- Start of 1, 2 and 3-star training: Wednesday 01.10.25.
- A 2nd 1* training cycle may be organized in the second half of the year, depending on demand
Registration procedure
Before registering, for 1* diver training: it is OBLIGATORY to contact the section via secretariat.plongee@uliege.be
Without this, no registration will be accepted by ULiège sports.
People who have a certificate from another federation (FFESSM, PADI, SSI...) and wish to continue to progress with us are of course welcome, but are asked to contact the school manager (ecole.plongee@uliege.be) before taking any action.
Registration deadlines
- Session 1: 22.10.25
- Session 2: 1st Wednesday in February (to be confirmed)
Please note - Registration conditions
- Candidates 1* : 12 places max
- 2* candidates = 8 places max + 15 dives experience must be demonstrated. 2* candidates must have logged 25 dives to be eligible for certification.
Information
- Wednesday 24.09.25 at 8pm at CRU (Clubhouse next to the secretariat)
- At the Salon des Sports on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm (Campus Universitaire, Amphithéâtres de l'Europe, Quartier Agora, Boulevard de Colonster 13, Bâtiment B4, parking A): information on all sports, section stands, registration, etc
Activities
- Wednesday: pool training and theory classes
- Weekends: diving in flooded quarries, lakes, Zeeland
- During most school vacations: sea training (Atlantic, Mediterranean, etc.)
N.B.: Weekend activities and courses are not included in the registration fee
Equipment
Personal equipment :
- Swimsuit and cap mandatory
- Fins, mask, snorkel, belt and lead
Equipment available in the section :
- Cylinders, stabilizing jackets and regulators
- Compressors, boats, vans
Cost
To be paid to the secretary :
2. Annual scuba diving subscription: 155€
Price includes: pool entry, tanks and regulators in the pool, insurance, league registration (LIFRAS) and pool lessons.
Registration and payment
- Download and create an account on the MonClub application ;
- Choose the "Scuba diving: registration request" option. This step is mandatory before the registration session);
- Go to the scuba diving registration session on Wednesday 24.09.25 at the CRU (clubhouse);
- After the registration session, you will receive an email with a payment link to pay and finalize your registration.
NB: your registration in the section will only be effective once payment has been received.
