Delta plane

Face into the wind, senses alert, lying on your stomach, arms outstretched, free! Soar, merge with your wing, take advantage of updrafts, take in the scenery, be a birdman, in complete safety. Please note: for safety reasons, this sport is not open to minors.

Description

MINIMUM AGE: 18 YEARS

Initiation :

For groups of 6 or more, we organize a 2-stage introduction to towed flight:

• stage 1 : During spring break, we plan a week's training on an F.B.V.L.- or F.F.V.L.-accredited slope-school based on at least one autonomous flight. Maximum safety is guaranteed as you learn to fly on gentle grassy slopes, supervised by professionals applying a progressive method.
• step 2: After one of our instructors has checked your level (as attested by your logbook from an approved school), we start planning towed take-off instruction in mid-May, depending on weather conditions. This method of take-off, based in Maillen, is the most practical in Belgium. If necessary, it can also include slope training.
• At each stage, all the equipment is made available to you at no extra charge, so all you need is warm, dirty clothing, hiking boots and gloves (preferably a windproof model with a grippy coating on the palm)

Improvement :

• After a successful flight, we can accompany you on cross-country flights of varying duration or distance, on improvised outings to Belgian sites or during stays abroad (France, Switzerland, Italy, etc.).

Information

Salon des sports on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Campus Universitaire, Amphithéâtres de l'Europe, Quartier Agora, Boulevard de Colonster 13, Bâtiment B4, parking A): information on all sports, section stands, registration, etc

Cost

1. Mandatory registration to be paid at least 1 month before the^1st activity.

2. Initiation fees corresponding to your level (see above)

For your information, any breakage of equipment is entirely at your expense. In order to cover any eventual bill, even partially, we have included a reserve of €100 in the costs. If you fail to do so, this amount will be returned to you at the end of the year.

Registration and payment

1. Once you've created your profile in the MonClub application, choose the "Hang Gliding" sports package.
   
   Membership packages include the ULiège sports membership fee and an additional contribution where applicable. If you choose more than one package, you will pay onlyone ULiège sports membership fee (the membership fee will be automatically deducted at the time of payment).
2. Proceed to payment from the application.

You can add a complementary package at any time via the application.
